Our Christmas season starts the day after Thanksgiving, on November 24th. We make wreaths, roping, sprays, swags and have trees for sale. Leased fields along the Connecticut River have grown our own trees for us since 1976, but we still have to buy some in (from Orford, NH- excellent quality) to meet the demand. Because Lee is our only ‘wreath maker’, some high quality wreaths are bought in now. We can also take your order and make a wreath to your specifications. The products we make are from our own Fraser fir so they last a long time. Our season ends when we sell out, usually within three weeks.
Most our Christmas Trees are Fraser Fir. We planted 500 more transplants in the spring of 2014. In 2016, we put in 200 Caanan Fir as Fraser Fir were impossible to get. It takes about 8 to 10 years to get a 6-7′ tree. We have to shear them every year.
2017 has been a great growing season for our Fraser Fir. Many terminal leaders were over two feet long. We have sheared our trees to make them denser.
