We are surrounded by plants that are not native to our area. Many of these plants are considered invasive and have become a serious problem for all of us. An example is Japanese Barberry. It is growing in our woodlands, fields as well as our gardens. Barberry has been shown to be favored by the Black-legged tick which frequently carries lime disease. This can be a threat to your pets and family. We can help manage these invasive plants. Whether you have large, overgrown fields or just need an inspection to identify these plants, call us.
In late summer and early fall, we do mechanical cutting of invasive plants so if you’re thinking about it, we may be able to help you regain control over these non-native plants. We are also licensed for herbicide control in the forests to follow up the mechanical cutting should you need that.
